NEET 2019 Counselling Schedule

NEET is a national entrance examination which is conducted to streamline the admission process of the medical aspirants year after year. All the hopeful medical aspirants can appear for this exam to gain admission into graduate and postgraduate courses in MBBS and BDS (Dental studies). National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is usually conducted once a year and will be conducted on 5th May 2019 (Sunday).

The registration for NEET 2019 closed on 30th November 2018. The admit card will be released on 15th April 2019. NEET will be conducted in an offline mode according to the latest information released by the Ministry of Human Resource Development.

Changes in NTA NEET 2019 Examination

  • The NTA will conduct NEET 2019.
  • The exam will be in an offline mode indicating a pen and paper test.
  • The exam will not be conducted in multiple shifts.
  • It will be conducted in a single day in one shift across different centers on 5th May 2019.

The exam results will be declared on 5th June 2019 and the counselling session will begin shortly after.

The NEET UG online counselling will be administered by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). It will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee. All the required information will be available on Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) website. The candidates who will be placed in the Merit/Waitlist are suggested to read the counselling-related information very carefully and understand the course of the action to be taken by them during counselling and when they choose to appear in the counselling sessions.

The counselling of NEET 2019 will be in an online mode. The students need to be registered online with DGHS as and when the registration process of the NEET 2019 counselling begins. The NEET UG counselling 2019 will be conducted for the 15% of the total seats of all the government colleges (except for colleges of Jammu And Kashmir State). It is also known as the 15% All India Quota seats.

All the seats of Central and Deemed Universities, seats reserved for Wards of IP quota (Insured Persons) in ESIC medical colleges and seats available at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune. The counselling of NEET 2019 for the remaining 85% State Quota seats of government colleges and the private colleges will be conducted by the state governing authorities respectively. NEET 2019 UG counselling will be administered in two rounds for the 15% All India Quota seats. For the Central & Deemed Universities, the counselling will be conducted in three rounds. The counseling result of NEET 2019 will be released in the form of the seat allotment list and seat allotment letter.

Note: In order to be eligible for NEET 2019 counseling, students need to secure at least 50th percentile. 45th percentile for General and PWD candidates and 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
